About the Author

Keith Jackson is Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and has taught at the Universities of Otago and Canterbury as well as contributing lectures at a number of British and American colleges and universities. For some years he contributed regular weekly radio broadcasts on current affairs to schools throughout the country and was a regular radio and television current affair and election commentator.

Alan McRobie is a retired senior lecturer in Social Sciences, Christchurch College of Education, New Zealand. He is currently a self-employed political analyst and independent electoral consultant and elected Councillor, Waimakariri District Council.
